GTC Club Volunteering
Help Support Our Club
How is it possible that we can offer an annual membership for only $200 that includes more than 200 coached workouts, access to the best open water swim coach in Ontario, pool entry, quarry and winter access to the best spin studio in our city?
Volunteerism – that’s how!
Our club was founded by a small group of community triathletes who volunteered their time to operate the club. In its early days, club administration was simple with only a small handful of members and an informal training schedule. Today, our membership is more than 70 annual members! Administering a club of this size and coordinating a high-quality training schedule takes considerable effort.
If you would like to support the Guelph Triathlon Club in any way, please contact GTC.
Thank You GTC Volunteers!
We are fortunate to have an incredible volunteer executive committee to plan and execute all of the club’s administrative tasks as well as plan and coordinate GTC’s high quality triathlon training program. Our dedicated volunteer coaches help deliver this program over the course of the year.
We are also fortunate to have a membership that is generous with their time and willing to share their knowledge. Recent examples include Claire Rinne who offered her time to prepare and deliver a talk on core strength at our recent GTC social. Donna Bryson opened up her home to host this event. James Seery who volunteered his time to coordinate and lead the DIY bike repair workshops.
Volunteering Opportunities
We are often looking for GTC members to give a little bit of their time – whether it’s sharing your expertise, helping on our leadership team, coaching, or supporting various events and club activities. Please consider signing up for one or more of the opportunities below to give a little of your time back to your volunteer run club.
